Who’s Altair?
Altair Hernandez Martinez is a Venezuelan writer-director based in Berlin.
Apart from filmmaking, music is a great passion of hers, the reason why it plays such an important role in her work.
Whether it is for the soundtrack to her films or for music videos, the connection between image and sound is always a priority when conceptualizing a story.
Her writing pieces (scripts and short stories) show the complexity of certain situations, mixing drama with comedy to create impact, connect with the audience and make them feel something.
Altair’s artistic motto: “Life laughs at us constantly. So it’s only fair that we laugh back”.
